Courses

A comprehensive list of all the courses of the current semester can be found at the central Study Information System page (in Danish, except for the courses taught in English).

Signing up

As a general rule, you do not have to sign up for any of the courses you wish to attend; you simply show up. In certain cases, however, signing up is required. If so, this will be apparent from the course description in the central Study Information System.

At the MA level, all exams carry 15 ECTS, which means that a full work load equals two courses/exams per semester. Please note that credits are only awarded if you sit - and pass - the exam at the end of the course.

Courses in Danish

If you wish to attend one or more of the courses conducted in Danish, we draw your attention to the intensive Danish language courses arranged by the University of Copenhagen at the beginning of each semester. The Danish language courses are free of charge for exchange students, and we highly recommend that you take this opportunity to learn a bit more about the culture of the country you’re visiting. For further information, please contact the co-ordinator Anette Hagel-Sørensen at ahagel@hum.ku.dk. See also the faculty's website on courses in Danish.

At any time, you can get advice and guidance in English from the lecturers of the department in connection with your projects and exams, no matter which courses you follow, and no matter if your particular field of interest is not currently taught within the framework of a course.
